I don't even know what to say about this.
Just read the body of it, so funny.
(Especially lines 20-22, 25-28, 34-35, and 38-39, they're my favorites!)
I can't believe the State of Idaho Legislature actually wrote this bill and seriously considered
it. Whether or not it got passed, I do not know. But the
fact that someone actually cared enough to write a bill, well that's
just ridiculous.

Yesterday my writing prof. told us that she listened to Green Day all the time.
I proceeded to inform her that they weren't a good band.

Ahhh I am so worked up and pissed off at the moment. My Lib prof is totally ridiculous and every word he says (i.e. yells) is bull and I want shoot myself in the head with each minute that passes. He makes these bogus statements and then challenges us to contradict what he is saying. So I do, and not just because he said so, but because I genuinely disagree with his statement, and with a completely legitimate argument. And then pretty much he then just tells me that I'm wrong. Whatever. F him. This class is going to kill me. Why didn't I just pass it when I had the 24-year-old lightweight prof. who let us out early every week!?!?! RARRRRRRR I can't do this. GVSUcks!
Oh P.S. Did I mention it's a three hour class? Can we please just erase Wednesdays from the calendar?
EDIT IN >> I am just looking forward to tomorrow. TAP (yayay!), Writing (ehh whatev), Psych (cool prof.), and then HOME and ANNE ARBOUR tomorrow night for PTT at the Blind Pig!
But for now I'm going to go eat my feelings. By myself, of course. HAA!

I think I am going to download the Sex and the City theme as my ringtone so everyone will know how cool I am when it rings in the middle of class.
Speaking of television and dumb things, the other night my roommate was watching that new reality show with that pretty boy from O-Town, and I came to the conclusion that if you are a pop star and you blow all that money in 2 years and end up living with your pregnant girlfriend and her mother in a tiny apartment, and sign a deal with MTV for a reality show because you need the money and you aren't qualified for any other job, you are probably a big idiot. It doesn't help that he has a girl's name either, but I guess I'll let that one slide on account of he's still rather pretty.
In other news, I recently rediscovered the coolest feature of Band-Aids. Well besides the fact that they prevent you from bleeding all over the place, if you open a Band-Aid wrapper in the dark, it looks really cool. Because of the glue used to seal it, you will witness a purple-ish glow exuding from the very depths of the wax paper. Try it. And then comment and tell me how right I am.
In case you didn't hear, I got a new shirt and it has pigs all over it, so I automatically win everything, ever. Additionally, long johns under destroyed jeans in the winter is cool because you can still wear your totally sweet Hollister jeans and not be cold because of the draft coming in around the knee-area.
Recently, something happened that I am very upset about. I got out my box of 24 Crayolas and the tips were broken off of almost all my crayons. Maybe my roommate should stop breaking my crayons? Additionally, maybe she should quit blasting Eminem "music" if she knows what's good for her.
Obviously, I am joking about the threats and accusations against her. But rap still sucks, and I'm still pissed about my crayons.
Extensive conversations using band names is fun. I AM kellyshea: And I'm not crossing the NICKEL CREEK either. blueskiesdrive: yes, indeed. which day shall we leave? THURSDAY? wait that, i will be TAKING BACK. SUNDAY it is.
In other news, I have approximately one friend, hooray. This, among other reasons is why GVSU sucks (at least it does this year). "This ain't where it's at, my friends will second that." I think I might transfer to the Maloney School for the Gifted. I'm told they fingerpaint there.
Also, I am the coolest thing since Diet Cherry Vanilla Caffeine-free Code Red Crystal Clear Dr. Pepper Remix.
EDIT IN >> It has been exactly two whole months, hooray for me!
This is where you stop reading.

So I pretty much started my Christmas shopping today. And while I was shopping, I saw something that made my day. Just one of those little things that makes you smile and maybe even chuckle a bit, even though you're by yourself...
On my way into Laurel Park I was walking past the window of Talbot's (because they have an outside entrance in addition to the one inside the mall). So anyways I am walking towards the entrance to the mall and I look over to the window of Talbot's with the display mannequins, and there's 6/7-year-old boy in there dancing! And I don't mean just standing there swaying or anything. He was full out dancing, and he had some fressshhh moves too! So I waved to him and he waved back, and needless to say I walked into the mall still smiling. I'm sure I looked like a dork smiling by myself, but it made me happy to see this little boy who didn't seem to care about anything except being himself and maybe entertaining others in the meantime.

This weekend was lots and lots o' fun2themax. Visited Salem kids during B lunch on Friday. After the Fall played at the Barn Fri. night! Hung with some mega-awesome people, of course. Tanya, Lisa, Nate, Kylee, Daiv, Jenna &more. Watched a super weird movie at my house after. Until it was rather late at night. Like 3. "Me and You and Everyone We Know." Ehhhhh. Independent film, and very strange & sick. Saturday night went to Truine. Yeah I know. But it was a Breast Cancer benefit show. And there was really nothing better to do. Oh and Tally Hall was supposed to be there. But they never showed up. BOO. So we just hung around and played piano for a few hours. Back to my house with Nate to watch Heavyweights! Kylee and guillermoantunez came and we ate popcorn and Kroger Snoopy fruit snacks... a great night! Then came back to skoo' today. Father drove me. Because my car is broken. Like, really a lot. Helloooo new transmission! Well, whatevahwhatevah. Going back home Tuesday for for T-giving yo. And Annie and Em are coming Wednesday YAYAYAY!
And so I leave you with this amazing conversation:
I AM kellyshea: "Hey I'm just curious, do you have a pickle? Do you have a pickle? Have a pickle, pickle, pickle?" d NaNeRs 787: hahah ooops its in my other shoe I AM kellyshea: HHAHA d NaNeRs 787: i wish i could keep pickles in my shoe I AM kellyshea: Me too. I AM kellyshea: I think that guy wishes he could too. I AM kellyshea: You know, since it wasn't in there. I AM kellyshea: It didn't stay there. d NaNeRs 787: he probably ate it I AM kellyshea: Yeah haha d NaNeRs 787: you dont like pickles though do you I AM kellyshea: Nope. I AM kellyshea: That's why I would keep them in my shoe. I AM kellyshea: Because it's farther away from my face than, say, my bra. d NaNeRs 787: hahahaha. you'd keep pickles in your bra I AM kellyshea: No. I AM kellyshea: I would not. I AM kellyshea: Because I don't like pickles. I AM kellyshea: And that is way too close to my face. I would be smelling them all the time. I AM kellyshea: So I would keep my pickles in my shoe. d NaNeRs 787: but then your socks would smell of pickles d NaNeRs 787: and when you took your shoe off it'd smell like pickles I AM kellyshea: Yeah but I don't smell my socks. I AM kellyshea: I DON'T SMELL MY SOCKS, YOU HEAR ME!? d NaNeRs 787: and all your shoes would smell like pickles I AM kellyshea: All the more reason to go buy new shoes. I AM kellyshea: Because I like buying shoes. d NaNeRs 787: haha .. if you stuck a pickle in your shoe you would never be able to wear that shoe again .. because it would reak of pickles and you'd have to buy a new shoe I AM kellyshea: EXACTLY. I AM kellyshea: Because I enjoy buying shoes. I AM kellyshea: YES. d NaNeRs 787: haha

Any information regarding the whereabouts of my compact discs would be greatly appreciated. Even an anonymous "I stole them" comment would be helpful, just so I know that 50 of my CDs are not on some strange planet four galaxies away, being eaten by orange and purple poka-dotted aliens. Thank you very much.

It's weird how my bad week lasted EXACTLY one week. It started late last Saturday night and I finally started enjoying life again late last night. If I had money to bet, and a surefire way of knowing exactly when it started and ended, I would bet that it was exactly one week--to the minute. And that is nuts.
Of course there were some highlights of the week. Okay like one - Friday night at Solid Rock with Tanya, Brynn, Nate, and Emily, then walking around DTP with Tanya and Brynn and meeting psychics and stoner kids.
I came back to the West side of the state last night. My brother's band was playing a show in Grand Rapids, so I stopped by their hotel to see them for a little while. Samantha, the band manager and all-around awesome chick, talked to the manager of the bar where they were playing, and got me in even though it was a 21+ show (don't worry, I didn't drink!). So I hung out with Samantha and the bassist's girlfriend Deanna the whole night. And it was a Halloween party and we saw some sweet costumes (Patrick went as Ron Burgundy and let me say, the resemblance was uncanny). Well I didn't have a costume but Deanna was a Christmas tree so I put on some red bows and tinsel-y decorations and went as a present under the tree. Lots of dancing was done, rock was rolled, and a fun time was had.
Then I came back to campus around 2am/3am (depending on which time you want to go by). And now I'm here and bored but HAPPY. Happy because I'm not sad anymore. Haha

Mom: There have to be trade-offs. What would be the ideal situation for you? Me: If all my friends went to Grand Valley. Mom: Well I don't think that's going to happen. Me: You said ideal. Mom: You're right...That would be fun, wouldn't it? Me: Yeah. It would be fun to have friends again.
I'm just going to say it: I used to be happy. I'm no longer me. I'm. Not. Happy.

I have been listening to the song "Boats and Birds"by Gregory and the Hawk.
On repeat.
Because it is good.
And thank you Tanya for having it in your away message once.
If you'll be my star, I'll be your sky
You can hide underneath me and come out at night
When I turn jet black, and you show off your light
I'll live to let you shine.
You can skyrocket away from me
And never come back if you find another galaxy
Far from here, with more room to fly
Just leave me your stardust to remember you by.
If you'll be my boat, I'll be your sea
In the depth of pure blue just to probe curiosity
Ebbing and flowing and pushed by a breeze
I'll live to make you free.
And you can set sail to the West if you want to
Past the horizon, 'til I can't even see you
Far from here, where the beaches are wide
Just leave me your wake to remember you by.
So on that note, I think I will make a list of my 5 most favorite songs of all time.
+Eric Clapton - "Tears in Heaven"
+Kansas - "Dust in the Wind" (thanks to...Basty. Hmm, wow.)
+Joshua Radin - "Winter" (thanks to Joe.)
+UVA Hullabahoos - "Wonderful Tonight" (Originally performed by Eric
Clapton, but I like the Hullabahoos version better. Yeah,
whatever.)
+Ben Harper - "Walk Away"
Yeah I think that's it.
So if you are a dood and can play any of these songs on a geetar and sing them...WOW.
That is how you will get to my heart.

My weekend had its ups and downs. Let me just say that seeing everyone all together again at home was AMAZING!
THURSDAY NIGHT Went downtown to Grand Rapids. I'll leave it at that.
FRIDAY Came back to main campus from Grand Rapids, ended up paying $21.75 in a parking garage where the MAXIMUM charge per day was $8.25!? I don't even know, just don't even get me started on that one. Then I napped, then got up and went to the mall with Danielle. That was fun, but we were both really tired. Then "call me if you want to hang out again this weekend." Yeah okay, dick. Then I got really upset and I didn't know why, which made me more upset. Decided around midnight to go home, so I packed up and left at 1:30am. Got home around 4:00am and went to bed.
SATURDAY Highlight of my weekend DUH. I decided not to go to the TRT show even though I wanted to go. It would have taken a good chunk of time out of my day, and I had too many people to see to sacrifice that kind of time. So I went to dinner with Tanya, Lisa, Nate, and Kylee at the Bee. Then we decided to go to Belleville to this haunted "corn maze" (aka haunted house made of plywood) even though I don't like haunted things. I guess we cheated because we used my Mini Mag-Lite flashlight that I keep in my purse to look at my tonsils. HAHA And then on the way back, we saw these signs for "BRETT'S PARTY" so we decided to crash it. Except we turned around and left once we got up the driveway. But next time Brett has a party, we're going. So anyways, we got back to Kylee's house but I didn't stay too long. I left to go catch Plymouth's performance at GLI. I'm so jealous of their show this year! The guard has all these sweet costume changes. We stayed just to watch the drumline play their cadence, then we left and went over to Plymouth to wait for them, then went to Jaime's for the freakin' inner circle reunion! Hanging out with everyone again was so much fun, you almost forget that you haven't seen some of your best friends in about two months, and everything's just the same as it was when you left each other. I love that feeling, just picking up where you left off. :) Oh and of course I had a ridiculous allergic reaction and couldn't breathe so I went home. That's not really abnormal though.
SUNDAY SUCKED. I woke up and still couldn't breathe. Went winter coat shopping with Mother but didn't find anything besides old lady coats. I got super exhausted just from walking around the mall and my breathing started to get worse, so I had to go to the EMERGENCY ROOM, where they gave me mega steroids and oxygen. I still wasn't feeling 100% when I left, but whatever. I went home and spent the rest of the night shaking and/or sleeping from the drugs.
TODAY I was going to come back to school this morning (in time for my Chem lecture at noon) but my muscles were too sore from the drugs, so I laid in bed and came back JUST IN TIME for my 6:00 class. I am telling you, it was perfect timing.
I realize that was a long entry so, um, congratulations if you read it all. I'm sure it was less than entertaining so I don't blame you if you didn't read any of it. Seriously.
And with that, I will leave you with a little The Soft Touch Band: Yo Taquesha, are you still there girl? Yo girl, where you be at? Shoot, I lost another loan to Ditech.

Is it bad that I like being home more than I like being at college?
I thought college was supposed to be the fun time in your life. So far I've been at school almost a month and a half. And I've only stayed there for the weekend once. All the other weekends I've either gone to Western or come home. It'd probably be different if I had super close friends there, though...but I don't. There's nothing to do up at Grand Valley. Unless I wanted to get high and pass-out-drunk every night. Which I don't. So I sit at my desk in my room and listen to music and check away messages and Myspace. My life has become so lame, so fast.
It'd be fun if people came to visit me though!! (Hahah no this isn't pity-me-and-come-two-and-a-half-hours-across-the-state-to-comfort-me-cry-for-help, so don't take it that way) But seriously, if people come visit we will have funnn! I feel like such a loner because I don't really have people to hang out with there (besides "the boys" from P/C). And when I'm there I'm not my crazy, outgoing, constantly-making-new-friends self. And that's what makes me sad. Because I liked that Kelly. The crazy, outgoing, constantly-making-new-friends Kelly. And that Kelly is in Plymouth, not Allendale.
I had fun at home this weekend. Seeing Tert and hanging out with kids like Maddy, Tanya, Nate, Brynn, Emily, Jay, Ernie, and being in Jordan's movie. It was all swell times. I think maybe coming home and having fun like that will make me like school even less? Which will just make me come home more...which will make me like school even less...and on and on.
I don't know, I'm not going to let this depress me, though. Because that's just not fun. I'm going to try and make the best of it, because, well...why be sad when you can be happy?
I don't know, just something I've been thinking about.

You never understand the magnitude of a disaster until you see the effects of it. And I don't mean pictures and videos on the news. I mean how it has changed the lives of REAL PEOPLE.
I was so numb to the whole hurricane thing. "It doesn't affect me, why should I care?"
But then I was at Target on Sunday. And there was a woman standing outside the fitting rooms, Waiting for her son to finish trying on new school clothes. Because he was starting at a new school the next day and he didn't have much to wear. He had to be temporarily enrolled at a school as soon as possible.
Because they were hurricane refugees.
But the woman wasn't frustrated, or exasperated at all, like you'd expect. At least from someone who just escaped a natural disaster. And probably just lost their home too.
And then the cutest little boy came out of the fitting rooms. About seven years old and chubby, with dark, buzzed hair. And the woman put the unwanted clothes on the rack, And they walked away.
And that's when I realized, "It doesn't affect me directly, But it affects people just like me. And that could have been me and my family."
And now I want to do something about it. But I don't know what to do or how to do it.
